Axia Residential is seeking a leader who views accounting as a strategic partner—driving insight, shaping decisions, and adding value beyond the numbers. 

Position Summary

The Corporate Controller is a strategic, forward-thinking leader responsible for the integrity of all accounting and financial reporting functions. We are looking for an individual who does more than manage the books; we need a strategic thinker who is passionate about finding smarter ways to work and simplifying complex processes. You will lead our accounting team and partner with executive leadership to drive financial performance across our multifamily portfolio. 

Key Modernized Duties

  • Workflow Optimization: Evaluate and refine accounting systems and internal processes to increase departmental efficiency and data accuracy. 
  • Strategic Insights: Develop and maintain reporting tools that provide executive leadership with real-time, actionable visibility into portfolio performance. 
  • Practical Automation: Identify opportunities to reduce manual bottlenecks in AP, bank reconciliations, and month-end close through better system utilization. 
  • Collaborative Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement. 
 Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years of accounting experience with leadership experience 
  • Background in multifamily, real estate, or property management accounting 
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting 
  • Experience with Entrata, RealPage, or similar systems

Compensation: $180,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
